Dothan, AL– The Southeast Alabama Coalition for the Homeless (SEACH) AL-508 Continuum of Care (CoC), a nonprofit extension of Dothan Housing, is pleased to announce its summer Homeless Connect event. This summer essential for our area’s most vulnerable will be held on Thursday, May 16th, 2024, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the OCHEC inside the Michael C. Patton Event Center.
The Homeless Connect event is designed to provide individuals and families experiencing homelessness with a one-stop shop for essential services. Attendees will have access to a variety of resources, including:
Legal Assistance ---Legal professionals will be on-site to offer advice and guidance on housing rights and other legal matters.
Mental Health Screenings --- Mental health professionals will be available to conduct screenings and connect individuals with mental health resources.
Additional Services --- Additional services offered include housing assistance applications, employment opportunities, healthcare screenings, and more.
Free food and clothing will also be available to all attendees.
